This Art Deco 1929 Hotel perches on its own 26 acre island
200 meters off the Devon coast, near Bigbury-on-Sea, between
Salcombe and Plymouth. At high tide the hotel uses the World's
only working Giant Sea Tractor to cross to the island. When
the tide is low, it reveals a stretch a golden sands, which
enables you to walk or even drive across.

The hotel has catered for weddings since May 1995, in fact,
was one of the first venues to apply for a Civil Marriage
Ceremony licence (issue no. 000004), when the law changed.
It is generally agreed to be easily the most romantic venue
in the South West.
